COVID-19 has disrupted many healthcare services in Australia, as a provider of solutions in several medical disciplines we have witnessed this level of interruption firsthand. During this unusual time, we understand that the services AHP provides are a crucial form of healthcare support. During COVID-19, we have been working hard to make sure that hospitals, aged care facilities, individual participants, and practices are supported.

In this complex climate of fluctuating business operations and lockdowns, AHP is invested in continuing to provide excellent healthcare service solutions. We want our partners, participants, and providers to stay assured that we are increasing business efforts to aid healthcare situations. AHP has been working on the developments below during COVID-19.

TELEHEALTH SERVICES 

Our teams have been hard at work ensuring that healthcare staffing solutions are being quickly delivered to hospitals, schools, practices, and communities all over Australia. One of the biggest repercussions of COVID-19 restrictions has been the steep decline in mental health. AHP is committed to making sure the most vulnerable among us are able to access the help they need when they need it. This means sourcing Telehealth mental health specialists as needed.

In light of COVID-19 physical restrictions, there was an immediate panic surrounding the lack of therapy access allied health recipients faced. Our AHP Disability & Home Care department launched Telehealth services in this climate to ensure that our recipients could still be receiving services. While Telehealth Allied Health services may not be the best option for participants, AHP is committed to providing what we can, when we can, wherever we can.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

AHP’s dedication to the health and wellbeing of its staff has always been a priority but we have developed our practices during this time to ensure the ongoing safety and support of the AHP community.

We have maintained the following initiatives:

WFH: Head office staff worked from home during the “worst” phase of COVID-19. Flexible working conditions are still in effect and AHP actively encourages staff to work to whatever conditions suit the health and wellbeing of the individual employee.

Mental health: AHP has upheld early finishing hours initiatives and weekly staff lunches to foster a positive work environment for employees.

Safety: AHP is upholding government recommendations in all business and recruitment practices. We will continue to uphold all regulations and recommendations in our business to ensure we are doing our part to fight COVID-19. This includes educating staff on hygiene practices and adhering to distancing regulations in Aged Care facilities and hospitals. We have recently ordered reusable face masks to encourage clinicians to wear masks at work.

We are concerned but hopeful in the face of COVID-19. We are more committed than ever to providing healthcare to those who need it most. We are committed to upholding the highest hygiene and safety standards. We remain committed to our community.
